Enjoy the evening entertainment
The reception rooms at Southdowns Manor offer exceptional flexibility, accommodating both intimate groups and larger gatherings. We are licensed for civil ceremonies, with elegant reception rooms and a Banqueting Suite. The rooms within the manor offer a warm welcome and provide a lovely setting in which to relax and enjoy delicious canapés and reception drinks. The Banqueting Suite offers an exceptional dining experience and is perfect for hosting your wedding breakfast. With its own bar, dance floor and starlight ceiling, this room transforms into the ideal party space, where all your guests can enjoy the evening entertainment. The smaller rooms are perfect for civil ceremonies, and for those who prefer a more intimate wedding breakfast.
Our beautiful Conservatory is perfect for smaller ceremonies and is licensed for up to 40 guests. The cosy Sussex Room, complete with open fire that makes it ideal for winter weddings, is also available for ceremonies for up to 40 guests. Our spacious Banqueting Suite is ideal for larger ceremonies, seating up to 150 guests, and it can also be partitioned to accommodate smaller wedding parties.
However big or small your wedding, you will have the whole of Southdowns Manor for your exclusive use, so you can relax in a home away from home. After your ceremony you can mingle with your guests with a drinks reception in the garden or indoors, followed by your wedding breakfast and evening entertainment beneath the twinkling fairy lights of the Banqueting Suite.
OUTDOOR CEREMONIES
Hold your civil ceremony outdoors
Unlike many civil wedding venues, we’re also delighted to offer you the option of holding your civil ceremony outdoors. For a romantic summer wedding, exchange your vows beneath the Gazebo on our beautiful terrace where you’ll have wisteria walkways, manicured lawns and ancient walls to give your ceremony and photographs a stunning backdrop.
